Brennan IT has implemented a solution for superannuation fund Local Government Super (LGS) that was recognised by independent industry body, the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees (AIST) at its Awards for Excellence.
LGS engaged Brennan IT to redesign its IT infrastructure in order to support LGS’ Sydney headquarters and eight regional officers across New South Wales.
As part of the overhaul, changes were made to networking, telephony and mobile device management, printing, disaster recovery, backup and recovery, and server infrastructure.
LGS head of projects and IT, Kim Heng, said the project was built around a move from a traditional on-premise IT model to a Cloud solution which delivered significant cost saving and increased efficiency and productivity.
“The project had outstanding benefits in reducing costs and providing a wide range of other solutions across the fund,” she added.Brennan IT chief executive, Stephen Sims, said, “We’re thrilled to hear this project has been recognised by an industry body. The team at Brennan IT have worked collaboratively with LGS as it was a massive undertaking and wouldn’t have been possible without the support and expertise from both teams.”
