Cirrus broadens the band with new 100Mbps service

CirrusX delivers high capacity internet and layer 2 for business

Australian owned and run wholesale fixed line broadband provider, Cirrus, has launched a high capacity internet and layer 2 Ethernet service for mid-market business, CirrusX.

The corporate-grade 100Mbps service is backed by premium Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and designed for the corporate market.

Cirrus Communications chief executive, Eric Hyde, described the offering as pure, fast unlimited Ethernet with a committed information rate and SLA-protected uptime.

“The product comes with industry-leading access to service levels via a portal which allows partners real-time monitoring and data tracking,” he added.

“CirrusX is targeted at medium-sized businesses giving them the capacity to grow. It is a high-reliability symmetric service that leverages our national fixed wireless network.”

Hyde said the product's point of difference was its price point and built-in redundancy “at the last mile.”

Cirrus is the only telecommunications carrier in Australia which offers this as standard.

“We believe the business, government, retail and health sectors will find this is a compelling way to fulfill their telecommunications needs in a world that is demanding more and more bandwidth,” Hyde concluded.

The solution is available through Cirrus’ wholesale partners including Macquarie Telecom.
