Unified communications technology vendor, Avaya is rolling out new offerings that aim to make it easier for midmarket companies to migrate their contact centre and communications operations to the Cloud.
The new solutions, as part of the Avaya MidMarket Cloud Portfolio, include Powered by Avaya IP Office, that is aimed at partners that want to install the Cloud-based option in their own Datacentres, and OnAvaya Google Cloud Platform.
Avaya senior director of segment leadership group for Cloud, Mike Kuch, said the new solutions give customers options and despite being able to go pure Cloud, the company feels hybrid Cloud allows customers to go at their own pace.
Kuch added that a key bonus for Avaya is that the new mid market offers, both of which are based on the Avaya IP Office Platform, utilises the same code base as the Avaya systems that run on most customers’ premises.
He said this is beneficial for customers as they can continue using the Avaya products that they have already invested in, while at the same time begin their move into the Cloud as the single code means that channel partners don’t have to retrain their own people on new technologies.
“What we allow for is both solutions on a single system. We use the same code. It’s identical," Kuch continued.
For partners, Avaya said the new offerings give the new full-stack solutions they can offer to their customers to assist their move to the Cloud and gives the end users options when deciding on a path forward.
