Security software and hardware company, Sophos, has signed on value-added distributor for cybersecurity, networking and infrastructure, Exclusive Networks, as its distie for the Australian region.
Exclusive Networks will be distributing Sophos' Cloud, UTMs and end user security solutions, and the solutions will be a part of its Disruptive Enterprise Mobility On your Network (DEMON) program.
As per the agreement, the new relationship will see Exclusive Networks assist Sophos in its local growth strategy, distributing its network and end user security products to the mid-market and small business arena in Australia.
Sophos said it picked Exclusive Networks for its SuperVAD proposition, including technical support, go-to-market capabilities, understanding of demand generated campaigns and the ability to execute services internationally.
“This provides a compelling offering for resellers, ensuring fast penetration of Sophos in the local market,” Sophos A/NZ general manager, Ashley Wearne, said.
“The partnership with Exclusive Networks was a compelling proposition for Sophos, as we aim to quickly grow adoption of Sophos, including Security Heartbeat, locally. Exclusive Network’s SuperVAD offering ensures the smooth delivery of security solutions, appealing more widely to mid-market resellers. We are excited to see the partnership come to fruition.”
Sophos recently introduced Sophos Security Heartbeat and Synchronized Security in the Sophos XG series of next-generation firewalls and UTMs.
This technology directly links next-generation firewalls and UTMs with next-generation endpoint security to share threat intelligence that enables faster detection of threats, automatic isolation of infected devices, and more immediate and targeted response and resolution.
Exclusive Networks Asia-Pacific managing director, Dominic Whitehand, said the partnership could bring about opportunities in future. He said the decision to work with Sophos in particular, provided the company the ability to offer our partners more breadth and value.
“Sophos is leading the way in network and end user security for the mid-market, and is a vendor that is always thinking one step ahead, as seen with Synchronized Security. We are looking forward to seeing what the future has in store for this partnership,” he added.
Whitehand also said the addition of Sophos to its line-up offers its partners with more choice and full solution portfolios and the company will be supporting partners that target enterprise, mid-market and SMB markets.
“By doing this, we can offer a far simpler engagement model, one contact for all, allowing partners to focus on their top priority - end user customers. A partner can now work with fewer contacts – and with Exclusive, they can have deeper conversations on the solution they are providing. This scenario has meant that we have often provided alternative solutions to end user challenges.”
In addition, Whitehand said system integrators and partners focusing on networking and security will now have choice in their Sophos procurement and can leverage further support from Exclusive to accelerate their deal progression timeline.
“We are already working with Sophos on exciting new offers, our partners just need to contact us to find out more,” he added.
