Imaging and speech technology company, Nuance Communications Australia, has forged a new distribution partnership with Dicker Data.
As per the deal, the Australian distributor will range and distribute Nuance’s license software solutions including Power PDF, OmniPage, PaperPort and Dragon to channel partners and software resellers in Australia.
Nuance Asia-Pacific director of channels and OEM, Nathan Taylor, said the growth of its licensing business has led to the development of its distribution strategy and partnership with Dicker Data.
“Nuance has experienced exponential growth with the development of our licensing business in the region, both with our Dragon speech recognition platforms and also Nuance’s imaging platforms, specifically our Power PDF solution.
“As a result of this growth, we have further developed our current distribution strategy and are delighted to announce our new partnership with Dicker Data,” Taylor said.
He added that Dicker Data’s experience of more than 35 years was instrumental in the company being was chosen from a highly contested field of distributors. According to Nuance, its extensive due diligence process was specifically based on reseller feedback and recommendations.
“After reviewing our distribution strategy and conducting due diligence on potential distributors, what clearly emerged from our channel partners was that we should talk to Dicker Data. I am really looking forward to seeing Dicker Data help take our business with the channel in Australia to the next level.”
Taylor added that the company was also very impressed with Dicker Data’s engagement with the channel and most specifically Dicker’s systems, people and culture.

Dicker claimed Dicker Data will be addressing all markets with the Nuance portfolio.

He also said Nuance represents Dicker Data’s first venture into the document management space and that the Nuance product portfolio is a complimentary product to many of the company's other vendors that provide business productivity solutions.
