Southern Cross and PaperAct open device testing lab

The lab currently has about 18 devices available including HTC, Apple, Samsung and Nokia.

Southern Cross Computer Systems along with document management provider, PaperAct, have created a not-for-profit testing device lab in Melbourne.

The lab, based in Hawthorn East, aims to provide developers, businesses and consumers with access to connected devices (smartphones and tablets) for testing of platforms, software and network connections.

“We believe developers can save thousands of dollars by testing in our shared community pool of devices. We’d like to hear from anyone who has a device to donate,” Southern Cross executive director, Mark Kalmus, said.

The lab currently has about 18 devices available including HTC, Apple, Samsung and Nokia.
