Uninterrupted power supply company, Cyberpower, has appointed Shannon Dowden as its new regional sales manager for NSW and the ACT.

“My areas of focus will be NSW and the ACT but because I am based in Brisbane, I have some accounts here I have looked after in my previous roles so I will continue with those relationships,” she told ARN.

Dowden’ previous role was with Belkin where she was distribution channel manager. Prior to that, she held similar roles at Samsung and Microsoft.

“Cyberpower is a relatively new brand to Australia, they have been in the market for around six years, there is so much potential with the product in the local market.

Dowden was appointed on October 1 and immediately began work on the company strategy for growth in 2016 and beyond.

“My main focus will be to grow brand awareness in Australia. I have already been working on a number of marketing campaigns with our distribution partners Ingram Micro and Bluechip Infotech,” she said.

“I’ll be leveraging their resources to grow brand awareness in the channel. I am also working on a big distribution sales incentive, we really want to get mindshare of our distribution partners.

“I view our distribution partners as an extension of us and as we have a small team locally, we rely a lot on them.”

“It is a brand new area for me. I think it is a great challenge to expand my skill set software, peripherals, hardware, notebooks and printers.
