Capgemini deploys PaaS platform for SICorp

Cloud-based system delivers outsourced core insurance platform for its Home Warranty Insurance

Consulting, technology and outsourcing services company, Capgemini, has deployed a Cloud-based system to deliver an outsourced core insurance platform for its Home Warranty Insurance product to the New South Wales Self Insurance Corporation (SICorp).

The contract is the first Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) deployment by Capgemini in Australia.

The company said it will enable SICorp to configure, build, host and run its Home Warranty Billing, Policy and Claims Solution using Guidewire InsuranceSuite and will be hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

According to the government agency, the solution will allow SICorp to leverage the technology to streamline its processes by integrating with its data warehouse for portfolio reporting and enable stakeholder partners to have secure access to transaction processing.

That applies to the public sector in Australia as much as it does to private industry,” Amazon Web Services A/NZ head of channels and alliances, Stefan Jansen, said.

“We are delighted to be working closely with Capgemini to deliver the scalability and flexibility SICorp requires.”
