Leading Edge launches Smart Choice Tech Repairs

Adds mobile phone and device repair business to its portfolio

Independent buying support and sales management company, Leading Edge Group is expanding its footprint to include a new mobile phone and device repair business into its portfolio.

Called Smart Choice Tech Repairs, the business was launched in September with its first outlet located in Bunbury, Western Australia.

After conducting market research, it spotted an opportunity to work with and support some of the 1000 plus existing mobility kiosks and stores, and to help grow the market for people looking to establish their own mobility repair business.

Leading Edge Group will offer training and accreditation programs; nationally negotiated supplier agreements; extended credit through central billing and national marketing programs. It will also assist members to grow their sales and profitability along with the opportunity to participate in nationally negotiated repair contracts.

Smart Choice will also provide an internationally recognised accreditation program that will train members and their staff on smartphone and tablet repairs.

Leading Edge anticipates it will have about 50 members in the first year, with a 100 members in the following year.

Participating stores will have access to a range of tier one preferred supplier partners; provision of extended credit to operators and security of payments to suppliers through the Leading Edge Group; central billing facility; an internationally supported point of sale, inventory management and job tracking system.

They will also have access to the Leading Edge Group cost saving member benefits program; a website/e-commerce solution which will direct customers to book service jobs with accredited and trained stores; an extranet and information hub site where business owners and suppliers can exchange information.

The extranet will also have a dedicated service portal where technical and service related questions and issues can be discussed between operators and with a qualified technical expert.

So far, Leading Edge has experienced strong interest from its members in South Australia, Victoria and NSW.
