Kaspersky Lab has released its first offering for the AWS Marketplace specifically targeted at virtualised desktops.
Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business AWS Edition allows Amazon WorkSpaces customers to purchase an additional layer of protection for their virtual desktop environments running on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Through the AWS Management Console, Kaspersky said customers can provision a secure, high-quality Cloud desktop experience for any number of users and deploy application to a WorkSpace using Amazon WorkSpaces Application Manager (Amazon WAM).
Amazon Web Services Inc. AWS Marketplace vice president, Dave McCann, said AWS Marketplace for Desktop Apps enables customers to take advantage of a streamlined selection and procurement for high-performance desktop software from AWS Marketplace.
“With Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business available in AWS Marketplace for Desktop Apps, customers have access to an easy to deploy and manage security platform that provides an added layer of protection for their virtual desktop applications,” he added.
Kaspersky Lab chief technology officer, Nikita Shvetsov, said the solution is designed to provide a full range of protection technologies including anti-malware, encryption and systems management.
“By listing it in AWS Marketplace, we allow AWS customers to add an additional layer of security to their virtual desktops with a click of a button,” she said.
