NEXTDC partner, Fastrack Technology, has gone live with an ExpressRoute connection through NEXTDC’s new virtual exchange, AXONVX, in the company’s M1 datacentre facility. According to NEXTDC, Fastrack Technology is the first company to go live on the platform.

Built on a high-speed switching fabric, AXONVX aims to offer reliable and secure connections between datacentres and Cloud services such as Microsoft Azure and Office 365.

Fastrack Technology commercial director, Nathan Nogic, claimed the company is a local IT solutions provider specialising in Cloud, networking and infrastructure solutions, and the connection to ExpressRoute via AXONVX further enables Fastrack Technology’s network offerings and Cloud services.

“Delivering connectivity options through AXONVX is a great enabler for Fastrack Technology in that it expands our customers’ access to high performance, geographically distributed connectivity for their Microsoft Azure Cloud environments and realise a true ‘pay for consumption’ billing model,” he said.

NEXTDC channel sales and NSW sales general manager, Steve Martin, added that the company has been working with the team at Fastrack for some time and the company has seen value by getting on the AXONVX platform.

“It clearly understands the Microsoft Azure story and how to provide its customers with a secure, private connection via ExpressRoute. The company has seen great value in the channel-first approach NEXTDC has taken with the AXONVX platform,” he added.
