International provider of telecommunications services and subsidiary of Reliance Communications, Global Cloud Xchange (GCX), has announced a direct access to Amazon Web Services (AWS) via its Cloud X Fusion platform.
Using Cloud X Fusion, businesses in Sydney will be able to utilise the company’s enterprise grade connectivity to securely connect their on-premise environments directly into an AWS Direct Connect port over its global infrastructure.
AWS Direct Connect enables enterprises to establish private connectivity between AWS platform and their datacentre, office, or co-location environment, to reduce network costs, increase bandwidth throughput, and provide a more consistent network experience than Internet-based connections.
Cloud X Fusion is part of GCX’s Cloud X portfolio, a proprietary platform that combines fiber optics with “pay-as-you-go” Cloud computing. It is also available globally and controlled by a user portal.
Through GCX’s global network and its product portfolio, Cloud X Fusion aims to provide seamless, low latency connectivity across developed and emerging markets in the US, Europe, Middle East and Asia, to give enterprises the security, reliability and predictability they need when connected to AWS’ Cloud services, while tapping into bandwidth on a usage-based consumption.
Global Cloud Xchange CEO, Bill Barney, said they will have the ability to establish additional interconnections across multiple locations and offer enterprise customers with fast, flexible access to the Cloud.
“Secure, private and reliable connectivity to Cloud services is always a key concern for enterprises as they embark on their Cloud adoption journey,” he said.
