Cloud based security services company, Netskope, has secured three new partnerships for the Australian region.
Content Security is one of these three new partners, while the names of the other two will remain undisclosed as their contracts have yet to be finalised.
Netskope A/NZ regional sales director, Yu Jing Cheng, told ARN that the other two contracts will be confirmed around mid-August this year.
As per the agreement, Content Security will have access to Netskope’s full suite of solutions.
Cheng mentioned the company’s partnership with Content Security is "quite fitting" because of its penetration in the security market within A/NZ.
“It means a lot to us in terms of picking the right partner. We signed them on as they’re big in the Queensland market. The company has just set up a new office there and that’s good news to us because we need a good partner in that region for us to cover the specific market,” he said.
Cheng added that Netskope is keen to penetrate into the Queensland market because there are a number of key enterprises in Queensland that are moving into Cloud services space and it intends on securing deals with them.
“Institutions like the Queensland Government, Flight Centre, etcetera are some we’re targeting so partnering with Content Security is a plus for us since we’re quite new to the Queensland marketplace, so both companies will be working together quite closely," he said.
“It also fits in quite well in terms of Content Security’s push into the Cloud security space.”
Netskope product management vice-president, Rajneesh Chopra, said the company’s key focus is on medium to large enterprises. He indicated verticals such as the medical and finance industries are some other key areas the company intends to acquire customers in.
“There is a huge surge these days – from a funding perspective – in medical and finance. There’s plenty of innovation happening in these fields,” he said.
“But it’s not so much about the vertical or a composition as it is about which way the particular company is thinking of its business. If Cloud is critical for them to utilise, or run their practice, it is applicable to them.”
Chopra claimed that every key conversation in the market is revolving around the Cloud and that is a vital focus area for the company. In addition, he said within the A/NZ market, it employs a two-tier go-to-market model.
“We don’t go to the market direct – our subscription based model is managed through a distributor and resellers. In the Asia-Pacific region, a couple of the integrators we have been using so far include M-Tech as a distributor, and NEC and Zimbani as resellers for government and Cloud customers respectively,” Cheng said.
The company has intentions to expand further within Australia, with offices in Sydney and Brisbane.
“The eastern cities are more aggressive so we see growth areas in these regions.”
