Rhipe picked for Microsoft CSP in SE Asia

Expands CSP appointment across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia.

ASX-listed rhipe (ASX:RHP) has been appointed to the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Program across Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia.

This follows on from rhipe’s CSP appointment in Australia in April. This now means that the distributor is a Two Tier CSP provider of Microsoft’s Cloud offerings including Azure and CRM Online. Rhipe provides the billing, provisioning, management and support services for these products to service providers.

Rhipe CEO, Dominic O’Hanlon, said the appointment across South East Asia was an important milestone.

“CSP is rhipe’s first public Cloud licensing program. We will now be able to wholesale Microsoft’s public Cloud solutions in addition to our traditional hosted and private Cloud offerings such as Microsoft SPLA,” O’Hanlon said. “We’re all about enabling service providers to harness the Cloud opportunity and this is a positive step in our long term strategy.”

It will be building a dedicated team of CSP specialists in each new market and expects South East Asia will contribute about $2 million in revenue in the first 12 months.

“Rhipe’s coverage of these markets will accelerate the readiness of the local partner ecosystem to better address the opportunity by deepening customer relationships and expanding growth opportunities,” Microsoft Asia Pacific small, medium solutions and partners group, partner lead, Ananth Lazarus, said.

Rhipe’s private Cloud licensing business has achieved more than $100 million in annual subscription revenue deriving from Microsoft and other vendor’s SPLA programs.

Rhipe also sells and aggregates subscription licensing models for service providers from VMware, Red Hat, Citrix, Veeam, Trend Micro, McAfee, DataCore and Zimbra.
