Managed hosting and telecommunications company, Macquarie Telecom (ASX:MAQ), announced to the ASX, that its chief financial officer, Michael Simmonds, has resigned.
His resignation is effective June 30 this year.
“It is with regret that I announce the resignation of Michael Simmonds as chief financial officer. Michael has been with the Company for almost ten years and feels that it is time for him to move to a new stage of his career,” Macquarie Telecom CEO, David Tudehope, said in a statement.
Tudehope added that during Simmonds’ time at Macquarie Telecom, he made a “significant contribution to the ongoing development of the company and he leaves behind a lasting legacy”.
According to Macquarie Telecom, the search for a new chief financial officer will commence shortly. Until that process has been completed, the company’s group financial controller, Rosalia Di Prima, will step in and serve as acting chief CFO.
