1. Key channel plays for 2015

As customers continue to demand agility and flexibility in their solutions, partners are faced with a shifting landscape like never before. As businesses continue to move towards a Cloud-based eco-system, it will be essential for partners to be able to support them no matter where they are on the journey.

VMware is investing in helping partners along this journey through a dedicated channel programme as well as a range of strategic certifications and training.

2. Key technology for 2015

Moving our customers towards a software defined datacentre has been at the heart of our business strategy for the last two years.

We made great strides in 2015 launching our One Cloud: Any application offering with the general availability of vCloudAir across ANZ allowing workload transportability from on-premise to off-premise, which is the key technology for 2015.

3. Key message to the channel for 2015

This is a year of great opportunity for our partners as local businesses continue on their journey towards a more software-defined, fluid IT system.

The key to success is to develop a deep knowledge of the local business landscape and the challenges facing it, to use this knowledge in addressing each customer’s specific business needs and to leverage solutions which meet these needs head on – no matter what stage of the journey the customer is on.

Through our partner programme we encourage our partners to grow their technical capabilities through VMware certifications, enabling them to support customers with a detailed solutions which is aligned to specific ROI.

4. Key warning to the channel for 2015

Keep mobility front of mind. With mobility revenue projected to reach $1.2 trillion by 2018, it’s imperative the channel remains focused on solutions tailored for a mobile workforce.

5. Key to VMware's success in 2015

Customers and partners continue to choose VMware because we offer a new model for IT designed to rapidly and automatically deliver any app, anywhere, without sacrificing the need for security, availability and compliance.

At the beginning of 2015, our CEO Pat Gelsinger said “In 2015, we are looking forward to providing our customers with extraordinary value through the strongest portfolio of products, services and solutions in our history.” Almost halfway through the year and having launched our ‘One Cloud; Any Application’ to a great response in A/NZ, we’re on track to deliver on this prediction.
