Cloud Distribution builds security portfolio with Lastline

The software-based platform can integrate breach detection capabilities into existing security portfolios.

Cloud Distribution has entered into a new partnership with cyber security vendor, Lastline.

The software-based platform is designed to integrate breach detection capabilities into the organisations existing security portfolio.

Cloud Distribution co-founder and director of sales, Jason Burn, said Lastline addresses the challenges of the current threat landscape particularly in relation to advanced persistent threats, zero-day and targeted attacks.

“Its advanced next generation solutions can analyse binaries, web content and emails in real time as it enters the enterprise network, thereby allowing IT managers to map the malware threats quickly with a level of accuracy not previously available,” Burn said.

The new detection capabilities in the 6.5 release of the platform provide deep analysis of kernel-based malware that is not visible to other sandboxes. The Lastline Breach Detection Platform offers advanced malware protection for email, file, web content and mobile applications.

The Cloud Distribution entity was launched last month and is the brainchild of inTechnology’s Mark Winter and Jason Burn.

It plans to create a portfolio of Cloud vendors through an extensive network of Cloud-focused resellers in the Asia Pacific market.

At the time, Burn said it would be focusing on its strengths in areas such as security and wireless technologies, as well as looking into emerging markets such as software defined networking.

“The stakes are high and the opportunities are endless for channel partners prepared to invest in education and training on the latest Cloud technologies,” Burn said.
