TasmaNet and UXC-Eclipse partner to deliver SaaS

The partnership will promote Microsoft solutions from UXC Eclipse

Tasmanian communications and Cloud services provider, TasmaNet, and leading Microsoft Dynamics ERP Gold Partner, UXC Eclipse, have partnered to deliver intelligent business solutions in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) mode. Their first customer is a ‘substantial’ Tasmanian Government department.

“The partnership has synergies for both companies, as well as UXC’s customers,” TasmaNet managing director, Joel Harris, said. “They have the skills and the applications, while we provide the infrastructure and backup facilities.”

UXC senior executive – enterprise solutions and services, William Moore, said, “The relationship forms a launch pad giving UXC better access to Tasmanian government. Our first government engagement wanted a seamless relationship with a single supplier, and TasmaNet partnership provides this as they are known and trusted in government.

“The SaaS partnership will also generate general business and revenue in Tasmania and on the mainland, underpinned by TasmaNet’s secure Cloud services.”

The partnership will promote Microsoft solutions from UXC Eclipse: the SharePoint Web application framework and platform; and Microsoft Dynamics enterprise resource planning (ERP) and relationship management (CRM) applications. The partners see these solutions expanding business beyond customers that simply utilise TasmaNet’s platform, infrastructure and investment in Cloud services.

“Outside government, many Tasmanian organisations lack sufficient depth of skills and resources to manage their business platforms, and our partnership with UXC Eclipse supplies these,” said Harris. “Customers no longer need to worry about managing their public-facing websites, instead they can focus on business. Our customers now have a single vendor to deal with [UXC Eclipse] and a single invoice.”

The Tasmanian State Government is encouraging organisations to deal with local business, and TasmaNet is locally owned, managed and staffed, while UXC Eclipse has a presence in the island State.

A 2014 Member of the Microsoft Dynamics Inner Circle, UXC Eclipse provides intelligent business solutions to the enterprise and mid-markets.

TasmaNet is a Tasmanian owned and operated licensed telecommunications carrier and Cloud service provider, focused on providing integrated telecommunications and ICT infrastructure solutions.
