Ingram Micro has signed an exclusive national distribution agreement with connectivity vendor StarTech.com.

The deal will make StarTech.com's broad line of connectivity parts available in the Australian market for the first time.

Products now available in Australia include adapters, extenders, splitters, switches, storage accessories and cables for IT and AV solutions.

Approximately 230 of StarTech.com’s most popular products will initially be available through Ingram Micro Australia and additional products are scheduled to be added in the future.

The products support the newest technology such as DisplayPort, Thunderbolt and USB 3.0 as well as legacy technologies providing IT professionals with a single source for connectivity parts.

Ingram Micro resellers will also benefit from StarTech.com’s ConXit Connection Wizard, an online tool that helps users quickly find the right connectivity part for their solution which can then be conveniently ordered through Ingram Micro.

Ingram Micro vice president and managing director A/NZ, Matthew Sanderson, said the agreement allowed Ingram Micro Australia to offer its customers a much wider selection of connectivity product offerings.

“This will ensure Ingram Micro resellers can build complete solutions for their customers using the products and expertise that StarTech.com brings to the market,” he said.

StarTech.com vice chairman, Ken Kalopsis, said he was excited about the new agreement that expanded the availability of the company's products into the Australian market for the first time.

“StarTech.com’s partnership with Ingram Micro Australia will ensure resellers and IT professionals in Australia have access to all the products they need to enable reliable technology solutions," he said.

"In addition, the exceptional support and resources we offer will make their jobs easier.”

StarTech was founded in 1985 in London, Canada. It has operations in 14 countries, servicing a worldwide market.
