AIPM names new national president

UXC Consulting’s Ian Sharpe appointed to role

The Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) has appointed UXC Consulting principal, Ian Sharpe, as its new national president.

The AIPM is the peak Industry body for project, program and portfolio management in Australia. It is the largest national membership organisation for project management in the country, with some 10,000 members, and is the second largest global member association of the International Project Management Association (IPMA).

Sharpe was the first person in the world to achieve '4-D System Master' status. He has 20 years’ experience in the private and government sectors, and has worked with a range of global organisations including NASA as a senior advisor on portfolio, program and project excellence.

He described the appointment as a great honour.

If you take a 10 year project manager’s career as average, we have over 100,000 years of experience advising in how to be a safe pair of hands in delivering great results from projects, programs and portfolios.”
