Melbourne-based system integrator, Jasco Consulting, is embarking on setting up its presence in the Sydney market.
After spending some time re-organising the business with a new management team, Jasco CEO, Jason McClintock, said he could now focus on growing it Sydney business, creating closer ties with its two major partners Microsoft and Telstra.
“Sydney is a different market to Melbourne, and I’ll be building a Sydney operation the same size as our Melbourne operation in terms of sales and delivery,” McClintock said.
“That will take some time, but with the right partnerships in place, it’s not the daunting task that it would have been three or four years ago.”
Admin and service desk will remain running out of Melbourne, but Jasco will expand sales, pre-sales and project delivery teams into Sydney.
“Our immediate focus will be on Telstra Business which is where we’ve had all of our success with Telstra in Melbourne and their push into the Cloud market is paramount. For them, having system integration partners like Jasco will help achieve their goals,” McClintock said.
Jasco sign up as Telstra partner in 2012. McClintock said since then, they’ve experienced 30 per cent year-on-year growth. He is also the chairman of Telstra’s business and enterprise partner executive council.
“Telstra has a massive appetite around Cloud and they cherish system integrator partnerships,” he said.
“People often say Telstra is a beast to work with, but there’s a lot of very good thinking going on in there at the moment and they really to want to succeed to with this.”
