Ingram Micro has been named distributor of the year by accessories vendor Belkin.

Belkin said it introduced the award this year as a way of acknowledging distribution partners for their contributions to the brand’s success.

Ingram Micro was recognised for growth across a range of factors, including delivering the highest year-on-year percentage increase, bringing significant new opportunities to Belkin and for its ongoing support of key internal and external marketing programs to the channel.

Belkin regional channel manager Australia and New Zealand, Shannon Dowden, said:

"Under Matt Sanderson's leadership, the Ingram Micro team brought our vision and growth strategy to life in-market this year, with a range of new opportunities and ongoing marketing support to the channel which has resulted in significant year-on-year growth.

“Their belief in our range and strategy was clear and consistent, and we are delighted to name them our distributor of the year for 2014."

Ingram Micro Belkin product manager, Juane Sgroi, was also awarded the Belkin Performance Excellence Award for 2014.
