Energy management vendor Schneider Electric has won a Platts Global Energy Award for its Energy Action Program, which has cut energy consumption by 13 per cent and carbon emissions by 16 per cent.

The vendor has its equipment in more than 300 facilities around the world, and won the Stewardship Award at the 2014 Platts Global Energy Awards.

“Energy efficiency is in our DNA, so we are especially proud to be recognised for the extensive efficiency programs we’ve implemented in our own facilities,” said Schneider Electric CMO Chris Hummel.

“We continuously help companies and individuals across the globe get more value out of the energy they consume while reducing emissions, and this honour from Platts is strong recognition of that record of achievement and our commitment to adopt best practices internally.”
