NEXTDC has signed a major international customer to its Sydney datacentre.
The company, The Customer, has contracted for initial capacity of more than 1MW at company's S1 Sydney datacentre.
The term of the contract is for three years with an option to extend for a further three years.
The initial capacity may expand to more than 1.4MW, according to a company statement.
The Customer also has the option to expand that capacity by a further 1.4MW.
The Customer is expected to be active from April 2015.
NEXTDC was recently named the fastest growing Technology Fast 50 company in Australia in the Deloitte 2014 index.
The datacentre operator notched up an incredible 3626 per cent revenue growth.
However, the company incurred a $22.9 million net loss after tax in the 12 months to June 30, but claims its financial and operational investments during fiscal 2014 serve as an inflection point for growth in 2015.
