Interactive Intelligence shuffles Australian team

Software and service group appoints two new territory manager



Software and services group, Interactive Intelligence, has appointed two new Australian-based territory managers in a bid to drive new business.

Les Reid has been appointed territory manager for New South Wales, based in Sydney.

He joins the company with more than 25 years’ experience in the IT industry and was previously an account director at NSC Group, where he was responsible for new business development for the organisation’s range of contact centre and unified communications solutions targeting government and large enterprises.

Reid previously worked as sales director at workforce management software specialist, GMT Asia Pacific.

Prior to that, he held sales management positions at AAP, Callscan, Touchbase, Inchcape Telecommunications and Avaya Communications.

Kathy Murphy also joins Interactive Intelligence as Territory Manager for Victoria based in Melbourne. Equipped with more than 20 years of sales experience in ICT at management, vendor, application and operational levels, Murphy was most recently a principal consultant at Scotwork Negotiating Skills.

Prior, she was regional business development manager at Salmat and held sales and business development management roles at Telstra, Touchbase Australia, Nortel, Ericsson, Optus, Spacelabs McDonnell Douglas and Information Builders.

Interactive Intelligence vice president Australia, New Zealand and Japan, Brendan Maree, said Kath and Les brought proven ability in new business development.

"Their proficiency in contact centre, telecommunications and network convergence sales, coupled with driving successful go-to-market strategies will be an invaluable asset to Interactive Intelligence as we continue to expand our presence in Australia in supporting our company’s overall growth trajectory,” he said.
