Telstra SNP signs simPRO software for nascent security business

simPRO's enterprise platform will distribute jobs to hundreds of Telstra SNP technicians

Brisbane-based software company simPRO has won a contract to support the recently announced Telstra SNP monitoring joint venture.

The deal follows Telstra's decision to buy into SNP Security's back-to-base alarm and security camera business.

The Telstra SNP deal was reportedly worth between $40 and $60 million.

Under the new agreement, simPRO's enterprise business management platform will be used to distribute jobs to hundreds of Telstra SNP technicians who install surveillance and security systems for homes and businesses.

simPRO chief executive, Brad Couper, said the appointment was a vote of confidence in the simPRO Enterprise system from two of Australia’s largest and most technically advanced companies.

“This decision by Telstra SNP Monitoring reinforces the position of simPRO Enterprise as one of the leading job management solutions in the world today,” he said.

“We look forward to working with Telstra SNP Monitoring to maximum the efficiency of their mobile workforce and help deliver their innovative service to the Australian market.”

Couper said Telstra SNP Monitoring would use the regular Enterprise platform illustrating its scalability to businesses of all sizes.

Telstra SNP Monitoring will supply Australia’s billion-dollar-a-year surveillance and monitoring market with a range of productivity tools for small and medium businesses and remote management options for households.

Residential services could include anything from monitoring customers’ pets while at work to remotely turning on heaters or air-conditioners.

simPRO’s locally-developed enterprise business management platform has more than 2,000 clients and 80,000 users around the world.

It is designed to be an all-in-one service management software solution integrating many essential workflow and business tasks in one program.

Companies can use cost estimation software to get fast and accurate quotes for customers while integrated business scheduling software ensures that they always have the right people in the right place, at the right time.

The enterprise project management tool also helps businesses keep track of projects from beginning to end while the purchasing and stock tool makes sure that the client always has what they need.

It includes a mobility suite for the trade and service industries based around the Connect mobile app which gives field staff complete control over the administration of individual jobs including the ability to process payments on-site using a customer’s credit card.
