Software company, Pegasystems, has appointed Scott Leader as executive director for Pega Australia and New Zealand.
Leader will be responsible for managing the growth of the Australian and New Zealand business, including Pega’s new Canberra office, which has just opened to service the company’s growing portfolio of federal government customers.
Leader has more than 15 years of software sales and management experience in financial services, the public sector and corporate industries. He will report into Pegasystems’ cice president and managing director for the Asia Pacific Region, Luke McCormack.
Leader was previously SunGard managing director for Australia and New Zealand.
“I’m looking forward to working with the outstanding Pegasystems team in the A/NZ region, which has realised significant business growth over the past five years. Pega’s software is fulfilling a very real need among today’s businesses as they embrace digital transformation,” Leader said.
“Likewise, the opening of our new Canberra office is being fuelled by the government’s need to service customers in the digital world through non-traditional channels, such as mobile and online, and within the confines of their legacy systems and reduced budgets.”
McCormack said Leader brought a strong strategic vision, an extensive network of contacts and a detailed appreciation of the global business challenges and landscape that Pega operates in.
In addition to the new Canberra office, Pegasystems has established offices in Sydney and Melbourne.
