Dell has presented at CommunicAsia 2014 and highlighted the mechanics behind its newest server and storage solutions. These offerings were customised for Dell original equipment manufacturer (OEM) customers.
Dell OEM said its solution ecosystem provides building blocks for business growth. Its partners high performance computing (HPC) architects 1degreenorth and embedded technologies provider Artesyn, were present at the conference to show how each firm has adapted the vendors OEM technology.
1degreenorth is a Singapore start-up specialising in HPC, Cloud infrastructures and business analytics. Artesyn Embedded Technologies, is concerned with design and manufacture of embedded computing solutions. The firm mainly services communications equipment companies.
Dell Asia-Pacific Japan OEM general manager, Glen Burrows, said the company was pleased to work closely with industry innovators such as 1degreenorth to customise and bring affordable and high performance solutions based on Dell servers to market faster and more efficiently.
“Dell OEM Solution’s market insight, flexibility and speed in delivering tailored solutions separate us from other manufacturers and integrators.”
The vendor said telecommunications companies can bring their intellectual property to market faster, ultimately help lower operational expenses, increase profitability and simplify operations by using the firm’s global reach and end-to-end capabilities.
Dell went on to say that pre-configured storage and servers are based on open standards to help maximise compatibility, scalability and expandability. New server and storage solutions showcased at CommunicAsia include Dell PowerEdge R420xr server and Dell PowerVault MD3400, MD3800 and MD3960 families.
