Fancy a Psychedelic Psundae with a side of Silly Cone Chips while you take stroll through the digital forest at this year's Vivid Festival in Sydney?

Intel and Gelato Messina have you covered.

The new creation from Messina Gelato pays homage to the technology at the heart of many of Vivid's installation and will be available at the Messina pop-up in the CBD Martin Place Vivid precinct.

The new gelato invention follows on from Intel’s earlier Martin Place announcement, which included details on the Digital Forest.

The Digital Forest, between Pitt and Castelreagh Sts, is made up of 120 LED 3D interactive glowing tubes and invites the public to explore a forest full of shapes, colour and ideas.

Some technological firsts Intel is bringing to Vivid this year include a roaming giant interactive colour-changing robot and Harbour Lights, driven by Intel Galileo development boards.

Intel is also teaming up with 32 Hundred Lighting again this year to present Light the Bridge, powered by Intel’s industry-leading silicon chip.

As part of Vivid Ideas, Intel will host two Galileo development board workshops to give designers the know-how and tools to take their creations to the next level.

Messina part-owner, Declan Lee, said the Silly Cone Chips had a silly name but it delivered serious taste.

"On the outside you’ll find popping candy, crushed chocolate chip cookies and a mango/coconut swirl," he said.

"But just like computers, it’s on the inside that the real excitement happens. An inverted cone filled with banana caramel will leave even the sweetest sweet tooth satisfied."
