Scott McCool has been promoted to group vice president of information technology and chief information officer (CIO) at unified communications vendor Polycom.
McCool will be responsible for the vendor’s global information technology organisation and prioritising Polycom’s IT expenditure. He will report to chief accounting officer Laura Durr who is also serving as interim chief financial officer.
Durr said the company was excited about the expansion of its leadership team.

"Scott is a great leader who is helping to drive Polycom’s future forward as we refine customer solutions designed to improve operating performance and profitably grow the company.”
