Telstra extends Cloud capabilities with Cisco

Invests in evolved services platform

Telstra will be the world-first partner to leverage Cisco’s global Cloud platform to assist it’s clients with Cloud requirements.

The telco said it will build an infrastructure with Cisco that provisions Cloud and network services in real-time. Telstra claims the move is in response to the growing demand from customers for management of multiple applications across hybrid public Cloud environments.

The company also said it will invest in Cisco evolved services platform for its networking infrastructure, enabling delivery of Cloud applications to customers, across the network and Cloud.

Telstra global enterprise and services executive director Cloud, Erez Yarkon, said the partnership presents Telstra customers with variety when purchasing Cloud and network services.

“This world first partnership sees us move from being a provider of enterprise-grade Cloud infrastructure and market-leading cloud solutions, to adding more value to our customers by helping them design the best cloud environment to suit their business.”

“Applications are critical to delivering business value and we believe we can offer our customers a differentiated solution for managing their applications across clouds. The Cisco relationship allows us to offer deeper and broader service capabilities to help our customers manage their critical applications, making the transition to the cloud simpler and more cost effective,” Yarkoni added.
