IT management tools distributor, TrackITOnline, has signed a partnership with Atlantis Computing to manage the software vendor’s rapid reseller base expansion in Asia-Pacific (APAC) following 12 months of significant growth and demand within the Australian channel.
TrackITOnline director, Phil Lancaster, said the distributor has been building its datacentre performance enhancement solutions, and cited Atlantis’ success in the virtual desktop arena as reason for adding the software to its storage enhancement portfolio.
The vendor’s ILIO software is software-only storage for virtualised environments, promising reduced storage capacity requirements by up to 90 per cent. It has been credited with Best of Citrix Synergy 2012 and Best of VMworld US and Europe 2012, and named winner of VMworld US 2013.
According to Atlantis’ Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) managing director, Craig Stockdale, the company currently has around 350 customers, and has sold more than 450,000 licenses. He said the TrackITOnline partnership is part of the company’s mission to build on its expanding user base in Australia.
Californian-based Atlantis was founded in 2006 with the goal of changing how virtual machines consume storage to reduce deployment risks, increase performance and scalability, and lower costs. Its first ILIO shipped in 2009, supporting all major server hypervisors running virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) platform solutions from Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware.
