HDS supports channel strategy with two appointments

Modular systems, software, and services vendor, Hitachi Data Systems (HDS), has appointed Matt Wilson as distribution manager and Ed Daven as channel marketing manager for Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ).
Both Wilson and Daven will support the company's partner strategy with a focus on strengthening relationships, engagement and go-to-market strategies with resellers, solution partners and distributors in the region.
Wilson is specifically tasked with further growing HDS' reseller base and market share with solutions which address Cloud, Big Data, and enterprise mobility challenges in both the enterprise and mid-market.
He joins HDS from ICT distributor, Express Data, where he was the communications division manager for its major vendor partners. Prior, Wilson was evangelist for EMC's security division, RSA, during which he gained extensive knowledge of Australia's ICT ecosystem. Earlier, he spent 10 years specialising in project managerment in the not-for-profit sector.
Daven has been made responsible for the strategic planning and execution of marketing campaigns intended to enable partners to position themselves favourably against new market opportunities and grow revenue with high-value solution sales.
He brings strong channel expreience and knowledge to the role, having previously worked as product manager at unified communications (UC), infrastructure, datacentre, and security distributor, Westcon Group. While there, he was in charge of the programs for EMC, VCE and F5. Daven has also held positions at Avnet, where he looked after Eaton and Google.
Wilson and Daven will be based in HDS' Sydney office.
