Ingram Micro wins Red Hat distie award

Named APAC Distributor of the Year for 2013

Leading distributor, Ingram Micro, was awarded Red Hat’s APAC Distributor of the Year for 2013 at Red Hat’s APAC partner conference held in Bangkok last week.

The award was given to Ingram Micro across the Asia-Pacific region, and recognised the company’s success and innovation in driving channel sales of open-source solutions in the Asia Pacific market.

Ingram Micro Australia senior business manager enterprise software and Cloud services, Lee Welch, attended the conference, and said Ingram Micro has had a long and successful partnership with Red Hat.

“This award is extremely gratifying. It recognises the success we’ve had across the Asia-Pacific region in increasing revenues and driving renewal rates up. Here in Australia we’ve made great strides over the last year. We’re extremely pleased with that progress and we’re looking forward to a similarly successful year next year,” he said.

Red Hat director - channel sales and development, A/NZ, Colin Garro, said partners play a critical role in Red Hat's business.

“We were very pleased to be able to celebrate with our partners across the region at our APAC partner conference, and to recognise their efforts and results. It was an exciting, collaborative conference, and a great opportunity for us all to get together, celebrate our successes, and discuss our opportunities and plans for next year. Congratulations to the Ingram Micro teams across the region.”
