Doney to lead WatchGuard northern region sales

Tasked with account management in NSW, Queensland, ACT, and NT

Business security solutions vendor, WatchGuard Technologies, has appointed Chas Doney to lead its northern Australian region as territory sales manager.

Based in Sydney, he will be responsible for account management and new business development in New South Wales, the Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, and Northern Territory.

He will also manage the vendor’s channel partners in these states.

In commenting on the appointment, WatchGuard Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) regional director, Pat Devlin, said, “[Doney] has a strong track record of success in IT security solution sales and brings strategic business development expertise to our growing business in Australia at this time.”

Doney joins WatchGuard from Australian ICT company, ASI Solutions, where he spent three years as NSW business development manager. While there, he was in charge of building enterprise business and revenue through the acquisition of new accounts and growth within existing customers.

Doney has also spent time in the aviation industry at Menzies Aviation as a service agent, and was tasked with new employee training and customer communications.
