AT&T and Wipro work on M2M solutions

The M2M application platform will be used for development services and systems integration

Telecommunications provider, AT&T, has extended its partnership with IT, consulting and outsourcing company, Wipro, to create machine-to-machine (M2M) development services and systems integration across all major industries globally.

At the Axeda Connexion conference in Boston, the two companies announced the use of AT&T’s M2M Application Platform, powered by Axeda, to provide expertise and technical support for customers looking to get machines “talking.”

AT&T Business Solutions advanced mobility solutions vice-president, Mike Troiano, said the decision was made on the back of customer demand for simplified management and monitoring of M2M connectivity in real-time.

“Our relationship with Axeda has fuelled customer interest globally, and with the addition of Wipro’s Axeda-trained engineers, we’re poised to help even more businesses implement highly-secure and reliable M2M solutions,” he said.

Axeda president, Todd DeSisto, said the three companies will creative innovative global solutions with the goal of enabling companies to harness the power of M2M technology with rapid technology delivery and value.
