HP has revealed its latest HP Envy X2 tablet-PC convertible at the recent HP-Intel beach club party, in front of the Customs House in Sydney.

Attendees enjoyed canapés, cocktails and punches while enjoying the sun, sand and the city, as well as trying out some of HP’s latest PC and tablet range.

The HP Envy X2 is targeted at consumers, and features a Windows 8 operating system, 11.6-inch HD display, up to 64GB of storage, Beats audio capabilities, a front-facing HP TrueVision webcam, a 8.0MP rear facing camera and multiple ports.

It costs $999.

It also showcased its HP Elite Pad 900 Windows-based tablet and dock, which is in its pipeline to be released early next year.

The HP ElitePad can be used with its expansion jacket, which holds an additional jacket battery. Some of its features include: a 10.1-inch 16:10 display, up to 64GB storage capacity, 8.0MP and a rear facing camera.

Its price has not been disclosed in Australia as yet, but it will be available from HP’s disties – Synnex, Ingram Micro, BlueChip and Dicker Data.

The company also had in hand its recently launched Ultrabook – the HP Envy Folio 9470M, which costs $2499 and is available from HP disties, as well as some of its other released products.
