IT services provider, Empired (ASX: EPD), has secured a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract with NRW Holdings (ASX: NRW).
As per the agreement, Empired will supply infrastructure managed services to NRW.
Empired will also deliver core operational infrastructure support including workplace services, server management, network management and monitoring plus a range of governance, process and reporting functions.
The contract, structured as an initial term of two years plus three one year options to extend, will see Empired provide a diverse range of generation three managed services.
In addition to the base contracted services, Empired will provide a range of specialist project and consulting services to NRW throughout the term of the contract. Currently, Empired is assisting NRW with implementation of new infrastructure in remote site offices and the implementation of new IP based integrated phone systems.
Empired said the contract offers additional opportunities to expand the scope of managed and project services.
“Empired has the breadth of services and depth of resources, systems and processes to deliver a high quality service to NRW and we will strive to become a valued business partner,” Empired Managing Director, Russell Baskerville said.
Recently, Empired announced the acquisition of applications and consulting firm, Conducive, for $7.95 million.
Baskerville claimed that the acquisition of Conducive has yielded benefits in its financial results in the first quarter plus a range of new sales opportunities being generated.
He also added that the company is looking forward to additional contract wins prior to Christmas.
