Australian Open to deploy Toshiba televisions

23-, 40- and 46-inch products to be used in numerous zones throughout tournament

Electronics vendor, Toshiba Australia has announced that it has been named the official television supplier for the Australian Open 2013 tennis tournament, as well as the Australian Open Series tournaments, the Apia International Sydney, and the Brisbane International.

The vendor will supply ‘many’ of its 23-inch DL and HL televisions, as well as 40-inch RL and 46-inch HL series LED televisions. These will be used in public viewing areas, player and administration zones, and corporate boxes.

As part of the sponsorship deal, Toshiba branding will be displayed on court at each of the international events.

“This sponsorship is a great opportunity to showcase a number of our televisions, making sure patrons don’t miss a second of the grand slam action, even when they step away from their seats,” Toshiba Australia national marketing manager, Mariana Thomas, said.

The Australian Open 2013 will take place in Melbourne from January 14 to 27.

The Brisbane International will run from December 30 to January 6, and the Apia International Sydney from January 6 to 12.
