EXCLUSIVE: CTO Group names Greg Sly managing partner

Responsible for helping CTO expand its business in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.

ICT strategy and consulting firm, CTO Group, has named Greg Sly managing partner, responsible for helping the company expand its business in Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.

Sly was previously with Symantec as sales director, ACT, South Australia, and Western Australia. He had worked with Symantec for six years, serving in such roles as Symantec APJ sales manager, compliance and sales, and as security specialist, Pacific region.

Sly said he took on the new role, which is a senior CEO-like role, to help CTO expand rapidly as it is well-placed to address the gap in the market for high quality consulting for data centres and security.

The company will be “recruiting at a rapid pace,” he said, adding that CTO is looking to grow its staff size from about 30 to 50 within the next year.

It is also active with several “big projects” and is looking to double its revenue in the next year. It will also expand from consulting to add “solutions selling,” said Sly. The Australian Taxation Office and the Federal Department of Health are among its customers.

Sly joins two more CTO Group managing partners, Kane Fillingham and Andrew McLintock.
