Digital media integration specialist, Digistor, has appointed Nic Smith as workflow and application specialist to provide consulting and pre-sales specialist services to its customers throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Smith will be available to Digistor customers as a premium resource for workflow analysis, pipeline development, research and development of new and existing products, and scoping of projects from two-seat pipelines through to big-budget feature films.
“Smith represents an invaluable resource for our customers for the analysis and deployment of complete pipelines to achieve optimum post-production productivity, quality and value,” Digistor managing director, Andrew Mooney, said.
Smith joins Digistor from Digital Pictures where he held the role of technical director and managed all aspects of its digital intermediate (DI), film, VFX, and editorial processes.
“Of course, I was aware of Digistor working for Digital Pictures, but it’s great to now be on the other side of the fence and to be able to utilise my skills for helping people across a range of creative organisations create their best work,” Smith said.
He has also held the role of DI technician at Molinare.
