Premier rugby league team, Wests Tigers, made a guest appearance at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Concord, Sydney to talk about cyber safety.
The event, held by Trend Micro, was designed to provide children with information about how to stay safe online in an Internet-centric age.
Trend Micro’s cyber safety expert, Aman Chand, was also on the scene to inform children on the importance of staying safe online.
Ahead of the event, new research by Trend Micro revealed that parental concerns about their children on social networking sites are on the rise.
It found that 71 per cent of parents are concerned about what their children are doing online, but almost one third (29 per cent) never monitor their children’s social media profile to ensure their safety.
