Australian Securities Exchange selects Arista switches for new datacentre

Cloud networking products provider, Arista Networks, announced the Australian Securities Exchange has deployed an Arista switch at its newly built datacentre in Sydney.
ASX has installed Arista 7100 Series ultra-low latency switch at its newly built data centre in Sydney, looking to meet the need to support fast trading with co-located and remote customers, as well as the alternative local exchange.
The 68 units of the now installed Arista 7124SX 10 gigabit ethernet switch with SFP+ connectors can forward packets in under 500 nanoseconds, irrespective of packet size.
ASX has 60 broker and banking customers’ platforms located within 62 metres of its own trading engine, and 200 other customers who are remotely connected.
Arista, founded in 2004, provides Cloud networking products for large data centre and high-performance computing environments.
