Unified communications vendor, Jabra A/NZ, has appointed Jessica Schmid to its newly created channel manager role.
Schmid will be responsible for Jabra’s partner system and customers in Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania and will report directly to Jabra A/NZ managing director, Fulvio Toniotti.
According to the company, the new role was created as it allows Jabra to be much closer and more ready to respond to the growing needs of the voice solution market in the southern states of Australia – namely Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania.
“Businesses are encouraging BYOD and there are new opportunities for Jabra’s product range. With our new channel manager and the ongoing sales initiatives, we aim to meet the diverse needs of A/NZ businesses in UC and contact centre solutions,” Toniotti said.
Schmid will work towards building and maintaining relationships with its alliances, system integrators and partners, as well as greater alignment and awareness of the Jabra storyboard and roadmap.
“My first priority is to ensure that our strategic relationships and business direction is clearly briefed and that Jabra can help them grow their business and our “Devices Make Experiences” voice solution,” she said.
Prior to joining Jabra A/NZ, Schmid worked at Ethan Group, where she was responsible for sales development and management of Ethan’s strategic customers, including government.
Before that, she held a number of sales and product management, development and customer facing positions at Simply Headsets.
Schmid will be based in the company’s Melbourne office.
Jabra A/NZ also recently rolled out a new brand profile headlined ‘Jabra YOU’RE ON’ earlier this year.
The new brand identity embodies Jabra’s focus to its customers and its partners. The initiative is accompanied by a new local website for Jabra A/NZ.
