Macquarie Telecom appoints operations exec

Managed hosting, Cloud and business-only telecommunications company, Macquarie Telecom, has appointed William Priest as operations group executive.
Priest, will be reporting to Macquarie Telecom CEO, David Tudehope, and is tasked with delivering operational excellence and exceptional customer service, alongside developing strategies for both internal and external initiatives.
He will also be responsible for the company’s $5 million customer contact centre, MacquarieHUB, and will maintain service and network operations and the customer service management team which consists of over 120 people.
“As our business continues to grow, there was a clear case to diversify our leadership at the executive level,” Tudehope said. “Priest’s years of international experience in this space, coupled with extensive market knowledge and management skills, make him the ideal candidate for this role.”
Priest, who 32 years’ experience, 15 of which were spent in executive roles, has previously held roles at AT&T, IBM, France Telecom Orange Group, Price Waterhouse, and Ernst and Young.
