Unified IP business communications solutions vendor, Interactive Intelligence, has signed a purchase agreement to acquire US-based supplier of contact centre forecasting, capacity planning and strategic analysis technology, Bay Bridge Decision Technologies.
The acquisition was made to add long-term forecasting, planning and analysis capabilities to Interactive Intelligence’s workforce optimisation offering. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to Interactive Intelligence, the acquisition addresses its strategy of broadening its workforce optimisation (WFO) portfolio of applications.
“It enables us to bridge the gap between our basic workforce management features and the advanced forecasting and planning capabilities in the Bay Bridge products, so we can offer a planning solution for mid-size and large contact centres,” Interactive Intelligence founder and CEO, Donald Brown, said.
Under the terms of the agreement, Bay Bridge will continue to sell and support its CenterBridge family of long-term forecasting, analysis and planning products, while separately applying its patented forecasting technology and operations research expertise to advance the functionality of the Interactive Intelligence workforce management product, Interaction Optimiser.
Bay Bridge customers will continue to receive uninterrupted service from their Bay Bridge support staff, which over time will be incorporated into Interactive Intelligence’s support organisation.
