Web security and WAN optimisation solution provider, Blue Coat Systems, has signed a partnership with New Zealand national broadcast and telecommunications provider, Kordia, to expand the Blue Coat Cloud service network to all customers.
As per the agreement, Kordia will deliver the Blue Coat Cloud Service as a managed security offering for businesses that want to extend corporate security and compliance policies to protect their users on all networks in any location.
The Blue Coat Cloud Service delivers threat protection and further enhances enterprise-grade protection service with the availability of CustomerView, a portal that gives Kordia a customisable, centralised view of all customers utilising the service.
The Kordia managed security offering, which will be hosted in New Zealand, aims to expand the global presence of the Blue Coat Cloud Service, giving all customers of the service a new point of presence through which to access it when they are roaming in the region.
Kordia general manager, Drew Gilpin, said with more employees accessing social media sites like Facebook and utilising Web-based applications at the workplace, it’s vital for businesses to have a robust Web security solution in place.
“Enterprise-class security that can follow users as they move from location to location and network to network is crucial for businesses struggling to mitigate the risks of data loss and Web-based malware threats,” Blue Coat Systems A/NZ managing director, Bruce Bennie, said.
