Avaya A/NZ boss, Tim Gentry.
Communications systems vendor, Avaya, has promoted Tim Gentry to lead its A/NZ business as managing director, effective immediately.
Gentry is replacing Rick Seeto, who held the reigns temporarily, and has now relocated to Singapore where he will work within the Avaya channels and marketing groups.
Gentry first joined the A/NZ executive team in May. In the two months since, he has focused on gaining an in depth understanding of the needs of business, customers, and partners within the region.
“Our customers in Australia and New Zealand are among the most sophisticated we have anywhere in the world, and I am looking forward to ensuring that even more businesses can benefit from ‘The Power of We’ as we help them drive faster collaboration, smarter decision-making and better business outcomes,” Gentry said.
Avaya said that his experience as sales leader, executive coach and relationship builder will have a strong impact on the business.
Before coming to Australia, he worked in the US as Avaya government solutions civilian/advanced program and sales operations vice-president.
Prior to Avaya, Gentry also held roles at Nortel, Adelphia Communications, and VGE.
