IP products vendor, snom technology AG, has promoted Usman Tahir to chief technology officer (CTO).
In the position, Tahir will be responsible for the technical development of snom, and will oversee the engineering and technological direction of the company.
“Tahir’s deep technical knowledge and understanding of the company’s structure and long-term goals is key to snom’s strategic planning,” snom COO, Michael Knieling, said.
snom's founder, Christian Stredicke, will move into a strategic role on snom’s supervisory board.
Tahir joined Snom in 2001 as senior software engineer, and held the role until 2010 when he was promoted to product management vice-president.
Before snom, he worked at AVAZ Networks and Communications Enabling Technologies.
“I look forward to my new role as CTO and the opportunity to impact the strategic growth of the company,” Tahir said.
