AMD’s Peter Chambers promoted to A/NZ country manager
Accelerated processing unit (APU) manufacturer, AMD, has promoted Australia and New Zealand national retail sales manager, Peter Chambers, to Australia and New Zealand country manager.
In the role, Chambers will be reporting to AMD Asia-Pacific and Japan corporate vice-president and general manager, Nick Lazaridis.
Chambers said he will work on continuing AMD’s close engagement with customers and business partners to strengthen relationships and promote growth.
Chambers is replacing Brian Slattery, who now occupies the role of Asia-Pacific and Japan consumer and MNC sales manager, and is based in Singapore.

F5 appoints Mohan Veloo as senior director for APJ
Application delivery networking (ADN) company, F5 Networks has appointed Mohan Veloo to the role of Asia Pacific and Japan field system engineering team senior director.
The appointment is on par with F5’s business growth strategy for the region which aims to take advantage of the proliferation of mobility, virtualisation and cloud computing, which are generating demand for its security networking solutions.
“We are confident that Veloo will provide our customers and partners with innovative business solutions that integrate F5’s architecture with applications from our key alliance partners,” F5 Asia Pacific and Japan senior vice-president, Christian Hentschel, said.
Before F5, Veloo spent 11 years at Oracle, where he held various managerial positions in the same region. Most recently, he was head of the company’s communications and telecom industry sales consulting team. He has also held technical leadership roles at Cisco.
